At 45, I’m living proof that it’s never too late to transform your body and mindset. I’ve overcome diet struggles, motivation slumps, and the pressures of being a full-time working mum, and now I’m stronger, healthier, and more confident than ever.
My journey to becoming strong and confident in my body has been anything but linear. I’ve navigated through diet struggles, motivation lapses, and the complexities of managing life as a full time working mum—all while overcoming the lingering effects of an eating disorder, managing degenerative disc disease, recovering from major surgery and rocking only half a thyroid.
I used to train excessively without a clear plan, bouncing from one cardio class to the next, and eating all the wrong things. My focus was on the scale, not strength, and my body reflected that. I was underweight, unhealthy, and constantly comparing myself to others; which only deepened my frustration and feelings of inadequacy.
Today, I’m proud of the healthy, strong, and confident body I’ve built. I’ve learned to fuel my body with the right nutrition—including treats like homemade cake and ice cream—and to train effectively without burning out. The scale no longer dictates my self-worth; instead, I focus on how I feel and perform.
I’ve cultivated a much healthier relationship with food, and achieved my physique goals without resorting to restrictive diets or endless cardio.
My goal now is to help as many people as possible break free from these cycles and achieve real, lasting results.
